Army Sgt. Sean Reeves, a Joint Task Force Guantanamo chaplain's assistant, speaks with a runner while he mans a table full of religious themed literature, 'dog tags,' and other trinkets for participants at the Morale Welfare Recreation Summer Kickoff 5k Run, which started at C.J. Denich Gym, June 21. The JTF Chaplain section hosts religious services and provides counseling to Troopers deployed to support the detention missions here. JTF Guantanamo conducts safe and humane care and custody of detained enemy combatants. The JTF conducts interrogation operations to collect strategic intelligence in support of the Global War on Terror and supports law enforcement and war crimes investigations. JTF Guantanamo is committed to the safety and security of American service members and civilians working inside its detention facilities.
