Retired Maj. Edward Horn, 344th Bomb Group B-26 Marauder pilot from West Palm Beach, Fla., discusses his role during World War II at the 70th anniversary ceremony of Stansted Airport's runway July 26, 2013, in Stansted Mountfitchet, England. During World War II, Horn's unit operated out of Stansted Airport, then known as George Washington Field. After several successful missions, Horn was captured by German soldiers and spent 11 months as a prisoner of war before being liberated by Gen.
