Maj. Gen. Jeff Hammond, the commanding general of Multi-National Division - Baghdad and the 4th Infantry Division, shares a humorous moment with Iraqi army Lt. Gen Abdullah Hameed Wajeh, the commander of the Karkh area command (left), and Iraqi army Gen. Abud Qanbar Hashim, the commander of Baghdad operations command, following dinner at the Falaniko House in the International Zone June 30. During the dinner, senior leaders from Multi-National Division - Baghdad and the 4th Infantry Division, took advantage of an opportunity to share a meal with the senior leaders of the Baghdad operations command. Afterward, to commemorate their close friendship and esprit de corps, Hammond presented the Iraqi security forces leaders' certificates that formally inducted them as honorary members into the 4th Infantry Division Association. The presentation made history as the Iraqi officers became the first foreign officers inducted into the association since the onset of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Welcomed into the association were: Iraqi army Gen. Abud Qanbar Hashim, the commander, Baghdad operations command; who was joined by the following Iraqi security forces officers: Lt. Gen Abdullah Hameed Wajeh, Maj. Gen Qassim Jassim Nazal Al-Maliki, Maj. Gen. Mizher Shaher Nassif, Maj. Gen. Hassan Salman, Maj. Gen Adul Kareem, Maj. Gen. Karim Kazraji and Maj. Gen. Rasheed Yarallah Abdul Ameer.
