A Bulgarian soldier drives a Stryker Infantry Carrier Vehicle (ICV) during operator familiarization training at the Iganovo Driving Range in Bulgaria. Soldiers from the Washington National Guard supported the mobile training team through the National Guard augmentation pathway, providing Bulgaria military-to-military Stryker ICV familiarization training. The three-month training mission concluded with zero vehicle accidents or rollovers, demonstrating the effectiveness of the training and strengthening the partnership between the U.S. Army and the Bulgarian Armed Forces. The National Guard augmentation pathway enables the U.S. Army Security Assistance Command to leverage National Guard expertise to support foreign military training missions, enhancing partner capabilities and strengthening global security cooperation.
