An Acoustic Unmanned Aircraft Systems Detection, Identification, and Observation System with 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, is displayed during a counter small-unmanned aircraft systems urban training at Range 200 as part of Service Level Training Exercise 4-26 on Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, California, July 22, 2026. AUDIOS uses tripod/mast-mounted acoustic sensors to detect, identify, and track small multi-rotor UAS through their sound signatures. The expected operational value of AUDIOS is a persistent, low-signature C-UAS sensor that provides early warning signs of drone presence and direction to small units. SLTE 4-26 is a premier training event that ensures the Marine Corps remains a highly lethal, adaptable force capable of dominating the future multidomain fight. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl.
