A hovercraft also known as a landing craft air cushion makes its way to the USS Wasp for an amphibious operation training exercise with 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, and Mobile Assault Company, 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion, July 24, 2013. The LCACs carried Marines, sailors, vehicles and equipment from sea to shore.
