Command Sgt. Maj. Andréa E. Powell was posthumously awarded the Regimental Adjutant General Horatio Gates Award during a memorial service on July 19 at Good Shepherd Chapel on Fort Gordon. Powell was the command sergeant major for the 324th Expeditionary Signal Battalion and died in a car accident on July 8.
