Soldiers of Task Force Summit hold-up the second place trophy presented to them by the Multaka soccer team, who beat the 1st Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment team, 8-0, June 19. The Multaka team took the 1st place trophy home. There were only two teams. This was the third loss in a five game series that has the TF Summit Soldiers challenging local teams in the sub districts of Hawijah, Iraq, in an attempt to "win hearts and minds, and show the human-side of the U.S. Soldier," Lt. Col. Christopher Vanek, commander, 1-87 said.
