Each February, the American Dental Association (ADA) sponsors National Children's Dental Health Month to raise awareness about the importance of oral health.This program is geared towards creating a positive attitude towards brushing and flossing twice a day, eating the right foods and limiting snacks, and visiting the dentist regularly. The campaign has always stressed early dental education and prevention to ensure proper oral care habits long-term. Captain Thomas O'Connor, 60th Dental Squadron, demonstrates proper brushing technique for the kids at Child Development Center 1, just one of the many stops he and his team will make this week on Travis Air Force Base.
