The color guard marches out the colors during a change of command ceremony at Camp Pendleton, July 17. During the ceremony Brig. Gen. Carl E. Mundy III relieved Maj. Gen. John J. Broadmeadow as the commanding general of 1st Marine Expeditionary Brigade. Maj. Gen. Broadmeadow passed on 1st MEB’s guidon to Mundy, signifying his relinquishing of command and Brig. Gen. Mundy’s new responsibilities.
