Naval Air Facility (NAF) Atsugi, JAPAN (June 1, 2026) - Capt. Tim Osborne (right), commanding officer of Fleet Air Western Pacific, poses for a photo holding a Letter of Appreciation with Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) Vice Adm. Kaneshima accepted the Letter of Appreciation on behalf of the JMSDF personnel that assisted in a medical emergency on Iwo To. NAF Atsugi supports the combat readiness of Commander, Fleet Air Western Pacific, Commander, Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5, Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 51 and 23 other tenant commands, and provides logistic support, coordination, and services to units assigned to the Western Pacific.
