SAN DIEGO (June 3, 2026) David Lewis, president of the American Society of Naval Engineers (ASNE), presents Naval Health Research Center (NHRC)’s Rachel Markwald with the 2025 Solberg Award at the 2026 MegaRust Symposium. The award, presented annually since 1967, recognizes individuals who have made a significant contribution to naval engineering through personal research during the past three years. NHRC, part of Navy Medicine Research & Development, supports Navy, Marine Corps and joint U.S. warfighter health readiness and lethality with research and development that delivers high-value, high-impact solutions to the health and readiness challenges that the U.S. military population faces on the battlefield, at-sea, home and abroad.
