U.S. Air National Guard Maj. Robert Rego, a pilot assigned to the 103rd Airlift Wing, Connecticut Air National Guard, flies a C-130H over France during a D-Day commemorative flyover, June 5, 2026. Eighty-two years later, Normandy residents joined service members in honoring the sacrifices made during the Allied liberation of Europe in 1944.
