SAN DIEGO (March 31, 2026) A team of researchers from Naval Health Research Center (NHRC) perform finger-prick tests on recruits from Delta Company (7-26) at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego as part of a study examining health risks of vitamin D deficiency, and possible solutions. NHRC, part of Navy Medicine Research & Development, supports Navy, Marine Corps and joint U.S. warfighter health readiness and lethality with research and development that delivers high-value, high-impact solutions to the health and readiness challenges U.S. military population faces on the battlefield, at-sea, home and abroad.
