U.S. Army Command Sergeant Major Gary Petty speaks with passion April 15 during a Spring 2026 Strategic Offsite meeting that brought together leaders from the Defense Health Agency’s Defense Health Network Indo-Pacific and the U.S. Army’s Medical Readiness Command, Pacific at Ford Island in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Leaders from the two organizations and their subordinate medical facilities and medical readiness units met for a three-day session to discuss military healthcare and medical readiness efforts and plan for the year ahead. The units provide medical care and medical readiness from Washington, California and Alaska to Guam, Japan and the Republic of Korea.
