Dozens of Norco’s Saddle Sore Riders circuit Lake Norconian during a horseback tour aboard Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach (NWSSB), Detachment Norco, home of Naval Surface Warfare Center, (NSWC) Corona Division. The event sought to strengthen the bond between the community and the Navy while showcasing the uniqueness of the Navy in Norco – advanced, 21st century technical capabilities headquartered in Horsetown U.S.A., a term trademarked by the city to describe the equestrian lifestyle of Norco’s semi-rural community. NSWC Corona employs the lake’s surface in its mission as the Navy’s range systems engineering agent. (U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 1st Class Christopher Okula/Released)
