Local contract workers install steel-wire power lines, June 16, on Forward Operating Base Falcon, Baghdad. The workers connect the power lines near the barracks of Soldiers from the Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division - Baghdad. The power lines run to the Rashid electrical substation which provides electricity to the Iraqi national power grid and augments other substations throughout Baghdad. The government of Iraq planned, funded and built the project without U.S. assistance.
