U.S. Army Sgt. Michael Charge, a paratrooper assigned to the 2nd Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 82nd Airborne Division assembles a wireless Combat Automated Information System Interface (CAISI) which was modified to help transmit and encrypt secret network information to subordinate units during Joint Operational Access Exercise (JOAX) 13-03 at Camp Mackall, N.C., June 22, 2013. Soldiers with the 2nd Brigade Combat Team constructed and successfully tested the modified CAISI during JOAX 13-03. JOAX is designed to enhance cohesiveness between U.S. Army, Air Force and allied personnel, allowing the services an opportunity to properly execute large-scale heavy equipment and troop movement.
