Forgoing the traditional scissors to cut the red ribbon during an unveiling ceremony, Col. Michael C. Kasales, commander, and Command Sgt. Major Douglas R. Maddi, brigade command sergeant major, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, used bayonets to officially unveil the newly built and consolidated "IRON" Brigade headquarters, June 6. Previously, the brigade staff was located throughout several different buildings within the brigade footprint. Following the ceremony both Kasales and Maddi gave tours to division and battalion leadership.
