Staff Sgt. Zachary Faust of the 418th Contracting Support Brigade is evaluated on a physical assessment Feb. 10, 2026, during the 418th CSB Fiscal Year 2026 Best Warrior Competition at Fort Hood, Texas. Faust was named the Best Warrior runner-up and Staff Sgt. Joshua Eash earned the title of 418th CSB Fiscal Year 2026 Best Warrior following the brigade’s competition Feb. 9-13. Throughout the five-day event, noncommissioned officers faced a demanding series of evaluations, including an Army Fitness Test, a physical assessment consisting of a five-mile run, cumulative 750- and 1,000-pound club lifts and a 500-meter swim, as well as an eight-mile ruck march, written mental assessment and a formal appearance and evaluation board.
