Master Gunnery Sgt. Leslye Barrett, an oboist with “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band, is honored during her retirement ceremony Feb. 6, 2026, at Northern Virginia Community College’s Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center. Barrett retired after 29 years of service with the Marine Band, beginning in 1997.
