Four U.S. Air Force F-16 Vipers assigned to 120th Fighter Squadron, and four U.S. Marine Corps F-35B Lightning IIs assigned to Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 121, join a U.S. Navy P-8A Poseidon aircraft assigned to Patrol Squadron (VP) 4, for a joint flyover of America-class amphibious assault ship USS Tripoli (LHA 7), in the Philippine Sea, Feb. 26, 2026. Aircraft participated in a coordinated event to demonstrate joint service readiness and maritime capabilities. The 31st MEU is a persistent, combat credible force operating aboard the ships of the Tripoli Amphibious Ready Group in the U.S. 7th fleet area of operations, routinely interacting and operating with our allies and partners to contribute to deterrence, security, crisis response, and combat operations in the Indo-Pacific region.
