Local Lao workers fill sandbags during a recovery operation in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Jan. 31, 2025. After being excavated the unit’s walls are lined with sandbags to maintain the integrity of the walls. The Defense POW/ MIA Accounting Agency’s humanitarian mission has a significant role in the Department of War's efforts to build partnerships in the Indo-Pacific region and the world.
