A U.S. Marine Corps AH-1Z Viper with Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron (HMLA) 269, Marine Aircraft Group 29, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, approaches a flightline during MAG-29 Distributed Aviation Operations Exercise at the U.S. Navy’s Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center, Andros Island, The Bahamas, Feb. 13, 2026. MAG-29 DAO Exercise is a multi-week exercise designed to distribute command and control of aviation forces, pushing authorities to the lowest levels while keeping forces moving between airfields and air sites.
