U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to 6th Squadron, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, conduct live-fire operations with M1A2 Abrams tanks during a combined arms live fire exercise (CALFX), near Tapa, Estonia, Feb. 19, 2026. The CALFX validates crew proficiency, maneuver coordination and weapons systems integration in a realistic training environment. The exercise enhances combat readiness and reinforces the unit’s ability to rapidly identify and engage targets. Building cohesive teams increases lethality and the ability to fight effectively.
