A new bridge made from two retired railroad flatcars connects two training areas at Garnsey Range, Dec. 11, 2025, on Fort Benning, Ga. The cost-effective design was developed through a partnership between the Fort Benning Directorate of Public Works, the City of Smiths Station, and the University of Georgia to enhance installation resilience.
