We proudly celebrated the 125th birthday of the Army Nurse Corps, recognizing more than a century of dedication, compassion, and excellence in military nursing. The celebration featured a special guest speaker, Col. (ret.) Daniel Jergens, who shared reflections on the lasting impact and legacy of Army nurses across generations, and our Deputy Commander for Nursing, Ed Burke, also provided remarks, speaking about his own experiences as an Army nurse and the privilege of serving alongside professionals who embody the very best of military medicine. The event concluded with a time-honored Army Nurse Corps tradition—a ceremonial cake cutting led by our youngest and longest-serving nurses, symbolizing the proud history of the Corps and the bright future ahead. Happy 125th Birthday to the Army Nurse Corps—a legacy of care that continues to serve, lead, and inspire.
