State Command Chief Warrant Officer Chief Warrant Officer 5 Thomas R. Black is inducted into the Distinguished Order of Saint Martin in recognition of his exceptional service, professionalism and enduring contributions to the Quartermaster Corps during the 33rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team military ball Feb. 7, 2026, at the I Hotel in Champaign, Illinois. Throughout a distinguished 38-year career, Black embodied the highest traditions of the Quartermaster Corps by demonstrating leadership, technical mastery and unwavering dedication to the sustainment mission across multiple echelons of the Army and Joint Force.
