Anthony Ewing, de-icer truck operator, 155th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, remove frost from a KC-135 Stratotanker at the Nebraska National Guard air base in Lincoln, Nebraska, Feb. 7, 2026. The Airmen ensured the aircraft was safe and mission ready to support flight operations in cold weather conditions. The deicing operation took place during the 155th Air Refueling Wing’s Combat Readiness Inspection which evaluated Airmen on their ability to generate and sustain airpower in austere environments.
