Royal Thai marines conduct amphibious assault training with U.S. Marines assigned to the the 2nd Amphibian Assault Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, during exercise Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Thailand 2013. More than 1,200 sailors and Marines are participating in CARAT Thailand. CARAT is a series of bilateral military exercises between the U.S. Navy and the armed forces of Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Timor Leste.
