Soldiers from 2-503rd (Airborne) Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade Forward Observer Platoon (FO) train with state of the art Call for Fire Trainer II (CFFT) equipment at Training Support Center in Vicenza, Italy. During training in Call for Fire Trainer (CFFT II) classrooms, Forward Observers provide data and feedback on targets to the gun positions to the Commander. The Call for Fire Trainer II (CFFT) is a twelve-in-one lightweight, rapidly deployable, observed fire-training system that provides multiple simulated battlefield environments for instructing First Support Specialist, Joint Fires Observers, Close Air Support (CAS) at the institutional and operational unit level during training events.
