TOKYO (Jan. 23, 2026) Distinguished visitors from the U.S. Navy and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) break a sake barrel during a Kagami Biraki ceremony during the Information Warfare Holiday Party at the New Sanno Hotel in Tokyo, Jan. 23, 2026. CNFJ/RJ’s primary responsibility is to provide shore readiness to the fleet; to liaise with the Japanese government; and to strengthen ties with the JMSDF.
