A 155 mm Howitzer rests after being fired during a Memorial Day 21 gun salute at the parade deck, May 27. More than two dozen residents and veterans attended the ceremony. Four Howitzers fired blank rounds. Blank rounds are used during ceremonies for their visual effect and for safety. The garrison flag flew at half mast during the ceremony.
