Lt. Gen. Linda Hurry, commander, Air Force Materiel Command, Chief Master Sgt. Bill Fitch, AFMC command chief master sergeant, and Master Sgt. Nicholas Tucci, AFMC First Sgt., stand with six of the AFMC Airmen who were selected to promotion to the rank of chief master sergeant during a recognition ceremony Jan. 8, 2026. In total, 62 AFMC Airmen were selected to promote to chief master sergeant. Overall, the Air Force selected 640 senior master sergeants for promotion to chief master sergeant out of 2,445 eligible for a selection rate of 26.18 percent in the 25E9 promotion cycle.
