Casey Van Huysen, Coast Guard Sector New York's ombudsman, received the 2012 Ombudsman of the Year Award during an all-hands ceremony in Staten Island, N.Y., June 5, 2013. Van Huysen shared her gratitude for the award with Sector New York members. She is a military spouse who volunteers throughout the Staten Island community and is the primary link between the command and military families.
