Approximately 100 Arkansas Army National Guardsmen with the 142nd Field Artillery Brigade departed from Ebbing Air National Guard Base, Fort Smith, Ark. to provide security in the nation’s capital on Dec. 2, 2025. The 166th Airlift Wing out of New Castle, Delaware and the 189th Airlift Wing out of Little Rock, Arkansas transported the soldiers to Washington, D.C. via two C-130s.
