U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. John Horn, an infantry unit leader with Lima Company, Battalion Landing Team 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, sets security during a raid at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Dec. 18, 2025. Marines conducted a simulated raid to rapidly seize and secure objectives essential to operations. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force, ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premiere crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
