(Oct. 15, 2025) Hospitalman Nicole Pedraja assigned to Naval Health Branch Clinic (NBHC) Whiting Field, a branch clinic of Navy Medicine and Readiness Training Command (NMRTC) Pensacola, sutures a stitch on a plastic skin mold during a training exercise at NBHC Whiting Field, Oct. 15,2025. NBHC Whiting Field held a “Top Doc” program that was a competition designed for corpsmen that are E-5 and below to compete in training that consist of a tactical combat casualty course, sutures, basic life support (BLS), cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and other field medical procedures to ensure field and operational readiness.
