A Green Beret assigned to 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) observes targets with a spotter scope during the second night of the annual Menton sniper competition at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., Dec. 2, 2025. The competition challenges sniper teams to apply precision fires, communication, and tactical decision-making under low-light conditions.
1st SFG (A) conducts special operations throughout the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command area of responsibility to support command objectives and U.S. national interests.
