International Miss Oregon, Amber Rosenberry, presents an award to Shelbie McQueen on behalf of her father, Lt. Col. (ret.) Roger Rosenberry, at Woodburn Elementary School in Camas, Washington, on Dec. 3, 2025. Roger Rosenberry fell from a 20-foot ladder on Sept. 9, and Shelbie was the one who alerted her parents and called 911, ensuring emergency services were dispatched quickly. McQueen was receiving an Outstanding Heroism Award at her school, Woodburn Elementary, and was recognized for her remarkable bravery and quick response in helping two community members in distress, first on Sept. 9 and again on Sept. 12, by alerting emergency responders.
