2nd MLG Commanding General, NATO leaders visit bilateral training in Finland

Finnish Navy Capt. Mikko Laakkonen, left, commanding officer of the Nyland Brigade, speaks with U.S. Navy Lt. Cmdr. Lisa Talledo, center, emergency registered nurse, and Lt. Cmdr. Warren Harvey, an emergency physician, both with Combat Logistics Battalion 6, Combat Logistics Regiment 2, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, in Syndalen, Finland, Dec. 3, 2025. The conversation took place during exercise Freezing Winds 2025 and provided insight into Finland’s bilateral training activities, strengthening shared understanding, cooperation, and interoperability. Freezing Winds is conducted to increase interoperability between Marines, Finland, and NATO Allies by executing combined amphibious operations in and around the Baltic Sea littorals, and is part of a regularly occurring series of exercises in northern Europe that demonstrates the capability to deploy and train Marines and Sailors in support of the NATO Alliance. Talledo is a native of South Dakota. Harvey is a native of South Carolina. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt. Makayla Elizalde)
