U.S. Marine Corps Brig. Gen. Maura M. Hennigan, right, commanding general of 2nd Marine Logistics Group, speaks with U.S. Navy Lt. Cmdr. Lisa Talledo, an emergency registered nurse, center, and Lt. Joshua Simons, an emergency medicine practitioner, both with Combat Logistics Battalion 6, Combat Logistics Regiment 2, 2nd MLG, during Exercise Freezing Winds 2025 in Syndalen, Finland, Dec. 3, 2025. The purpose of the visit was to provide distinguished visitors from several NATO Ally and Partner nations with insight into Finland’s bilateral training activities and to strengthen shared understanding, cooperation, and interoperability. Freezing Winds is conducted to increase interoperability between Marines, Finland, and NATO Allies by executing combined amphibious operations in and around the Baltic Sea littorals, and is part of a regularly occurring series of exercises in northern Europe that demonstrates the capability to deploy and train Marines and Sailors in support of the NATO Alliance. Hennigan is a native of New York. Talledo is a native of South Dakota. Simons is a native of New Jersey. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt. Makayla Elizalde)
