More than 600 104th Fighter Wing members attended a special "Barnesgiving" lunch and learn training, where U.S. Air Force Captain Joshua Carollo, 104th Fighter Wing Chaplain, spoke on the importance of building resiliency followed by a special lunch with support from the local community, November 26, 2025, at Barnes Air National Guard Base, Westfield, Mass.
During his speech, Capt. Carollo emphasized what it means to practice resiliency, and being more resilient can lead to future mission success.
"Resilience is not about extraordinary feats, heroism, or super-human strength - it's about the consistent application of simple, everyday practices to strengthen our inner resources and enable us to navigate life's challenges so that we are more resilient. It's about transforming suffering into an opportunity for growth, and using our experiences to create a more meaningful, fulfilling life."
