Volunteers working with Cotswold Archaeology, in partnership with the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency are reflected in the sunglasses of a U.S. Air Force Airman from RAF Mildenhall, as they work together sieving earth as part of an archaeological recovery on private farmland in Essex, England, Sept. 23, 2025. Airmen from RAFs Mildenhall, Lakenheath, Feltwell, Molesworth, Croughton and Welford volunteered over a six-week period to assist in locating evidence from a P-47 Thunderbolt crash in January 1944.
