Retired 1st Sgt. Jason Belford, a survivor of suicidal ideation, speaks with Soldiers during a Suicide Prevention Month engagement at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii in September 2023. During his time as an Army Ranger, Belford completed 12 combat deployments totaling 66 months. He plans to publish a book and documentary titled 'The War Inside Me', to tell his story of survival and spread suicide prevention awareness.
