U.S. Sailors use battlefield assisted trauma documentation kit for simulated casualty during European deployment

U.S. Navy Lt. jg. Anna Els, left, an enroute care emergency care nurse, and Lt. Cmdr. Warren Harvey, an emergency physician, exchange simulated casualty information while Hospital Corpsman Seaman Zachary Brown, all with Combat Logistics Battalion 6, Combat Logistics Regiment 2, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, provides oxygen to a simulated casualty during Exercise Freezing Winds 2025 in Gylto, Finland, Dec. 1, 2025. CLB-6 Sailors utilized the BATDOK allowing medical providers to log injury types, treatments, and vitals via touchscreen interface even in disconnected environments. Freezing Winds is conducted to increase interoperability between Marines, Finland, and NATO Allies by executing combined amphibious operations in and around the Baltic Sea littorals, and is part of a regularly occurring series of exercises in northern Europe that demonstrates the capability to deploy and train Marines and Sailors in support of the NATO Alliance. Els is a native of Missouri. Harvey is a native of South Carolina. Brown is a native of Louisiana. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt. Makayla Elizalde)
