SAN DIEGO (Oct. 16, 2025) – Capt. Jonas Carmichael, officer-in-charge of Navy Expeditionary Medical Unit 10 Gulf (EMU-10G), is welcomed home by his family at San Diego International Airport. The EMU's deployment reinforced the importance of building bridges with supporting units to accomplish their mission, according to Carmichael. Carmichael also noted the unit’s work supporting “Mercy Flights” for Iraqi Security Forces combating ISIS and developing combined training programs. (U.S. Navy photo by Arsenio R. Cortez Jr.)
