NEWPORT, R.I. – Rear Adm. Gregory Huffman, center, commander of Naval Education and Training Command (NETC), and Force Master Chief Ben Hodges, right, NETC’s Force Master Chief, are welcomed by the Naval Chaplaincy School (NCS) executive officer, Chaplain Cmdr. Madison Carter during a visit to NCS on Nov. 18, 2025, at Naval Station Newport (NAVSTA), Rhode Island. Rear Adm. Huffman visited NAVSTA Newport, holding official visits with Officer Training Command Newport, Surface Warfare Schools Command, Navy Supply Corps School, Naval Leadership and Ethics Center, the Senior Enlisted Academy, NCS and the Center for Service Support (CSS). As part of NETC’s CSS, NCS trains Navy chaplains and RPs to fulfill a critical role in helping the Navy achieve and maintain a ready force. Their enduring mission is to train, develop a foundation for, and inspire Religious Ministry Teams (RMT) to pursue excellence as they strengthen the soul of the warfighter, the family, and the fleet.
