SAN DIEGO (Oct. 23, 2025) – U.S. Navy Musician 1st Class Chris Garten leads the Navy Region Southwest band during a change of command ceremony aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71), Oct. 23, 2025. Capt. Brian Schrum turned over command to Capt. William Mathis during a change of command ceremony held on Theodore Roosevelt’s flight deck.
