Sailors tend to lines on the forecastle of the forward-deployed amphibious dock landing ship USS Tortuga (LSD 46) as the ship pulls into Jakarta Harbor for a port visit, marking the beginning of exercise Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) 2013. Tortuga is part of the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group, on deployment in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility and is participating in CARAT, the annual bilateral naval exercise series between the United States and partner nations in the Southeast Asia region.
